There's a lot of videos competing for your viewers' attention. Most people think that the thumbnail is not that important in gaining views on Youtube. However, it's just as important if not slightly more important than the title. No matter how creative and compelling your title is, if the thumbnail is not short and eye-catching, the video won't get clicked on and viewed.
