SEO is simply promoting a website in order to increase the number of visitors the site generates from search engines.  Without Google, Yahoo, etc. your blog would be very difficult to find.  Search engines open you up to the world.  Here are 5 tips to help you with SEO:

1. Keywords - Your keywords should be included in your title, page header and your content.

2. Links - Link back to your own page(s).  Take your viewers to your archives.

3. Content - If you do not have high quality content, you will not be effective at SEO.

4. Build your reputation and your blog network using forums.

5. Link to .edu domains.  .edu sites are given heavy weight by the search engines.
